If I had 10 AirAsia Free seats I would take nine of my college friends to Tokyo. I've always wanted to go to Tokyo after watching Scarlett Johansson in 2003's movie Lost in Translation.
The Tokyo that I saw in the movie is a magical city where language barrier could be a major problem but the pulsating life and incredible beauty of the city make up for the lack of familiar understandable voices.
The neon lights, Harajuku street-style, the animae and freshly rolled sushi are just some of the things that come to mind at a simple mention of the word 'Tokyo'. And I want to feel it all and get totally lost in an unknown world that I finally get to step into.
I'm taking nine of my college friends because we hardly see each other these days. It's getting more and more difficult to maintain the friendship with marriage, kids, demanding career and pretty much everything else in life that gets in the way. College years are crucial to me and these are the people who were responsible in shaping me in the earlier stage of my life into the person that I am today. A paid vacation to Tokyo with them is exactly what we need to rehash the beautiful memories of our naughty teenage years.
There's no other destinations more exciting than Tokyo. It's just one of those cities that you have to experience at least once in your whole lifetime. Well given a chance, I might just disappear and stay there.
Okay. Just kidding.
